Put your page on your own domain

What you need

Decide: buy a name, or bring one you own.
Buying through Spacefast is the no-settings path — we register the name and connect it for you. Bringing your own works too; it needs two small settings pasted at the place you bought it. Every plan can connect a domain — Free includes one.
To buy: search, pick, done.
Type words you like into the domain search and pick a name that's available. When you buy it there, we point it at your space automatically — nothing to copy, nothing to paste.

To bring your own: add it to your space.
Open your space in the dashboard, choose Domains, and type the name you own. Spacefast shows you two small settings — these are DNS records, entries in the internet's address book that point your name at your page.

Paste the settings where you bought the name.
Sign in at your domain seller and find the page called DNS or DNS settings — every seller words it a little differently. Paste in the two settings exactly as Spacefast shows them.
Wait for the green check.
Usually minutes, sometimes a few hours — the internet's address book takes time to spread the news. The padlock (SSL, the lock that makes browsers call your site secure) turns on by itself once the name connects.

Same page, your name on the door. The original address keeps working too, so links you already shared don't break.

Still pending after a few hours: Reopen your seller's DNS page and compare the two settings letter by letter — one stray character is the usual culprit.
You can't find DNS settings at your seller: Search the web for your seller's name plus DNS settings — every seller has a help page for exactly this.
No padlock yet: It turns on automatically after the name connects. Give it a little while, then reload the page.
